After two decades of dedication as a Certified Pedorthist and ten years of running my own business, I have reached an important crossroads. Throughout these years, I have had the privilege of helping countless clients improve their mobility, comfort, and quality of life through custom foot care solutions. Now, after much reflection, I have decided to transition to a private pay model.
Moving forward, my business will no longer accept insurance. This change may come as a surprise, and I want to share the reasons behind this decision and what it means for you, my valued clients.
Why the Change?
The decision to shift away from accepting insurance was not made lightly. Over the years, I have observed the impact that insurance companies can have on the level of care I am able to provide. The time-consuming paperwork, strict coverage limitations, and delayed payments have often diverted focus from what truly matters: delivering the best possible care to each of you. By eliminating the complexities associated with insurance billing, I can prioritize your needs and provide a more personalized experience.
What Does This Mean for You?
While I will no longer be directly accepting insurance, there are still ways for you to make the most of your benefits:
-
**Reimbursement from Insurance Providers**: Although I won't be billing insurance companies directly, you can still submit claims for potential reimbursement. I will provide the necessary documentation to assist you in this process. Each plan is different, so be sure to check with your insurance provider regarding out-of-network coverage and reimbursement policies.
-
**FSA/HSA Accounts**: If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA), you can continue to use these funds for payment. These accounts often cover a wide range of medical expenses, including the services I provide.
A Commitment to Quality and Personalized Care
By adopting a private pay model, I aim to enhance the overall experience for my clients. This change allows me to focus more on direct patient care, tailor services to meet your individual needs, and ensure that each visit is a valuable and fulfilling experience. The flexibility that comes with this model also means I can offer more time, attention, and customized solutions without the constraints of insurance requirements.
Thank You for Your Continued Support
Your trust and support have been the foundation of my business for the past 20 years. This new chapter is an opportunity to elevate the level of care I provide while simplifying the process for both you and myself. I understand that this transition may require some adjustments, and I am here to answer any questions or provide guidance on navigating the reimbursement process.
Thank you for your understanding as we embark on this new journey together. I look forward to continuing to serve you with the same dedication and passion that has always been at the heart of my practice.
